Alright Eighth and Seventh Graders, ready for Sunday School.
I have already had a couple of you tell me that you have the memory verse down and ready to go. I am ready to continue our lesson on I Timothy 4:12.
Remember that you are an example to someone. I pray everyday that you are good examples, but we each have choices to make that tell other people what sort of Christian we are.
In Sunday School we will be focusing on the ways that the Apostle Paul says we should be examples.
What a wonderful opportunity for me and Tammy to be able to teach and lead you at church. Thanks for your faithfulness and inviting your friends.
See you in class,

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. I Timothy 4:12

Have a Happy Thursday!
It was great to see all of you who were able to be at church on Wednesday night. Be in prayer for our class and we hope to have three or four more on Sunday morning.
I am praying for each of you this week and your prayer requests that you brought up on Sunday.
I had a chance to have some time with a good friend on Tuesday morning. I know that Eighth and Seventh graders probably understand this more than I do. I wanted to share with y'all that I had a great time with my friend. We got a cup of coffee and just sat down and talked about our week. The most important thing that we did though was we had a chance to pray together.
I told you about that because I want you to make sure that you have a friend that you can pray with. As you grow and mature you will find that a good friend who will pray with you is very important. You all have MANY friends at school and at church, but believe it or not as you get older you will find out who your TRUE friends really are. By the time you graduate from high school you will be lucky to stay close with maybe one or two friends from high school.
If you have a close Christian friend that you can trust to hold you accountable, that you can talk to about spiritual matters and that you can pray with, you will be way ahead of the game.
I hope that your week is going great and I am ready to get more in depth in I Tim 4 on Sunday. Work on your memory verse I Tim 4:12.

Labor Day! Have a great day!
The federal holiday that celebrates the American Worker.
Even as an eighth or seventh grader you should develop or continue to develop your work ethic and habits. The Bible is very clear that we should be hard workers. This is another way you can be an example to believers and non-believers.
Remember what we talked about in class on Sunday. You should take this opportunity to let those around you see a hardworking teen. You have control of how people view you. Your parents, teachers, fellow church members, friends and friend's parents will all be watching you. Let no man depsise thy youth.
Notice that Paul told Timothy for him to have control of how people view him. A teenager CAN have control of how people view them. Take control of how people see you and be an example.
Have a great holiday and school week. Praying for all of you.

Love Bro. Allen

Ready for Sunday School!
Hey Eighth and Seventh graders, ready for Sunday School tomorrow at Cornerstone Baptist Church? We have been praying for ya'll all week. We will talk all about the details of our class.
I want ya'll to be fired up about church to the point where you will be inviting friends. I want you to be so on fire for Christ that you are winning people to the Lord. I want you to be so fired up about Being An Example that you constantly are thinking, doing and saying the right things. I want you to have compassion for those around you while also knowing why you believe what you believe.
See ya'll tomorrow.
Be an Example,
love, Bro. Allen

Ready for Friday?
Good Evening Eighth and Seventh Graders,
My "Christ-time" for the day consisted of being able to talk to two people about church. I hope that each of you had the opportunity to at least talk to someone about church if not lead someone to Christ.
My Thursday ended up being pretty busy with work and then got to see my oldest daughter and the volleyball team at Arlington Baptist College win their first match.
My daughter was on the bench the entire match, but she was still able to be an example: in encouragement, in teamwork, and in following the direction of her coach.
I told you about my daughter because you need to know that no matter where you are in life, you ARE an example to someone. There is always someone looking to see how you are going to react to something that is said, or how you are going to obey or disobey some direction that is given.
Some of those people watching will be lost and need Jesus Christ. Just think your actions as an example could be the difference in someone going to Heaven or not.
Some of those people watching will be Christians and be watching to see if you are an example of the believers.
Think about it, You are an example either way you choose to act and respond to life's everyday situations.
Work on memorizing I Timothy 4:12. I am praying for all of you and let's get ready to really have a great class of Eighth and Seventh graders for Jesus.
Be an Example,
Love, Bro. Allen
